Governing the EU’s wider neighbourhood is often shaped by challenges between econonomic, political and also security interests. Democratic principles in the field of migration policies or in trade arrangements are often neglected. This course introduces students to literature on the normative dimensions of EU foreign policy and takes a special look into the relations with Türkiye.
By discussing a mix of theoretical concepts and case studies, students engage in research-oriented learning and have the opportunity to initiate own projects.
